This Iceland patch release resolves issues affecting itinerary accuracy and responsiveness, including stale record details and descriptions that could show an outdated booking duration. It also refines Manual and Live Rail workflows and improves how services added after a package retain the intended package margin, making day-to-day itinerary building more reliable.
Itinerary Builder: Rail and Package Margin Refinements (ST-4239)
Cherry pick ST-4061, ST-3997, ST-4196, and ST-4248 Itinerary Builder Live Rail Service Search Manual Rail passenger selections now remain unchanged when the price category is updated, provided the new category uses the same per-person occupancy type. Services added to an itinerary containing a package through Service Search or the Builder inline picker can now inherit the package's profitability group, helping post-shop additions retain the intended package margin. This behaviour is opt-in per organisation and is off by default. Fixed-price and manually priced services continue to keep their own pricing, and selected profitability groups can be configured to retain their own margin. Multi-leg live rail journeys added to an itinerary containing a package are now priced as one complete journey, preventing the invalid search parameters error that could previously stop the booking from being added.
